Enrico Falconi


Enrico (Henri) Falconi is a filmmaker who has been writing, producing and directing films in a wide variety of genres for more than 20 years. Mexican born and New York raised, he’s worked on over 50 short and feature films in almost every capacity, on both sides of the lens. For example, he was the 2nd Assistant Director on Darren Aronofsky’s, Pi (Winner - Sundance Film Festival ‘98: Best Director; Independent Spirit Awards ‘99), and Henri also had a small role in PI, as one of the Cabala Scholars. He continues to act, on stage as well as in film and TV, while he pursues his filmmaking career.

Henri received a certificate in film from New York University’s Film, Theatre & Broadcasting program in 1996. Henri’s latest film was micro budgeted feature, Blisster (2011), an art film about karma & timing, which premiered in the Marche, at Cannes, 2011. Prior to that, he co-produced, edited &acted in, Man Woman Film, a $40k, 16mm, B&W feature film, featuring Cameron Diaz. Written and directed by Cameron Pearson, the film has appeared in over twenty international film festivals, including a screening at the Marche du Film, Cannes in 2000.

Henri has written, directed, produced and edited more than 10 short films, nine of which have screened at the Short Film Corner - Cannes Film Festival. They include: Tequila Sunset (2010), Brotherly Love (2009), The Free World (2008 - Made in 24 hours for the filmracing.com competition by a crew of 11th graders), Night of the Living Jews (2007), No Turning Back (2006), Alsjeblieft (2005), Live at Langley (2004), Original Black Poet (2003), 1937 (2002), Go To Jail (2002), Angry Jenkins' Farm (2001), and Thinking About Chocolate (selected also for: IFFM/96, Albany International Short Film Fest/96, The New Filmmaker’s Forum at the SLIFF/96, Howl Festival 2001).

Henri currently has two features, two shorts, and a documentary concert film, all in various stages of development. He seeks out collaborators and artists who share his passions, like softball, thrillers and the arts. After traveling to more than 40 countries, Henri proudly calls the East Village, NYC, his home.

Current Projects:

In 23rd year of filming a documentary feature: Experience, an exploratory concert film, chronicling the life and career of virtuoso Gypsy jazz guitarist from Amsterdam, Robin Nolan.

Slated to direct the feature film Tura (2016), co-written with Julie Pacino. A wayward young lady moves to New York in search of her long lost father. Under the tutelage of an old man she discovers a lot more than she bargained for. Herself.

Bull - Feature script, co-writer with Chris Lutkin. An untold story from the Deadball Era, Bull Smith, fighting to play the game he loves, stands up to the crushing powers of wealth and corruption that control the game, threatening not only his career but also his life. Bull Smith Movie

Mongoose – Feature script, co-writer with Nick Leher. A retired special ops team is hired by Mexican farmers to help defend their village from a ruthless cartel.

Wrote a slate of short films, Citizen Gone, Cropsy, Coming Out/Apart, Warroom & Six Pints.
